Oil hydrocarbon products

Hydrocarbon gas liquids are from natural gas and crude oil. HGL are found in raw natural gas and crude oil. HGL are extracted from natural gas at natural gas processing plants and when crude oil is refined into petroleum products. Definition of Hydrocarbon Products Hydrocarbon Products means all liquid, semi-liquid and gaseous Hydrocarbon products of a Company derived from Hydrocarbons and/or other feedstocks and blendstocks processed at any Refinery, including, without limitation, crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, bitumen, asphalt, propane, propylene, butane, benzene, aromatic solvents, carbon black oil and sulfur.

Petroleum Hydrocarbons (PHCs) is the name given to a very broad range of chemicals that comprise oil and products refined from oil, such as gasoline and diesel. This mixture of chemicals can also be described by common chemical characteristics such as boiling point ranges or size of the molecules. They mainly consist of mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH). MOSH comprise open-chain, often branched hydrocarbons (commonly named paraffins) and cyclic, saturated hydrocarbons (commonly named naphthenes). MOAH include mono- or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Products made from crude oil After crude oil is removed from the ground, it is sent to a refinery where different parts of the crude oil are separated into useable petroleum products. These petroleum products include gasoline, distillates such as diesel fuel and heating oil, jet fuel, petrochemical feedstocks, waxes, lubricating oils, and asphalt. Oil reserves in sedimentary rocks are the source of hydrocarbons for the energy, transport and petrochemical industries. Economically important hydrocarbons include fossil fuels such as coal , petroleum and natural gas , and its derivatives such as plastics , paraffin , waxes , solvents and oils. Petroleum is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons. The most common hydrocarbons are natural gas, oil and coal. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, petroleum is a "thick, flammable, yellow-to-black mixture of gaseous, liquid, and solid hydrocarbons that occurs naturally beneath the earth's surface, can be separated into fractions including natural gas, gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, fuel, and lubricating oils, paraffin wax, and asphalt and is used as raw material for a wide variety of derivative products." Mineral hydrocarbons (mineral oils or waxes) are mainly used as food additives, in food contact materials, as well as ingredients of cosmetic lip care products, such as lipsticks, lip gloss or lip balm. The mineral oils/waxes used in cosmetic products are in chemical terms so-
